B-112. This is a very good condition Pre-WWII German DLV Air Sports Association Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). It is embossed with the DLV emblem on a pebbled central field, surrounded by a wreath. The rear of the buckle is unmarked. The swas (hook cross) on the front has black enamel in it, seen on some examples.
The buckle is a very early pattern, of what we believe is dye stamped brass, which was the nickel plated and silver washed. It may also be solid nickel, but it is definitely far to heavy to be aluminum. A very nice Pre-WWII belt buckle, from before Hermann Göring had total domination of the German aviation world. Ready to display. $225
B-079. This Smaller HJ Buckle is an uncommon piece measuring approx 2 1/8 x 1 3/8. This pattern of buckle was worn by the NSDAP Jugend, the predecessor to the Hitler Youth organization. The front of this buckle is adorned with a silvered brass roundel bearing a political style eagle and swastika. The roundel shows some wear, with wear to the silvering that reveals the brass base metal at the high points of the design. The surviving silver finish in the recesses shows attractive age toning. The buckle body is made of brass, with pleasant, uncleaned age patina and toning throughout. The reverse of this Smaller HJ/SA Buckle shows typical age patina and light wear. The integral catch for the belt hook is intact, and the solder joints affixing the roundel show no signs of alteration or repair. The roller bar and prongs assembly is made of plated steel, with some surface rust. There is no maker mark, as is typical for these. This is a nice example of this buckle type, in excellent condition. $150.
B-126. This DAK Heer Officers Buckle is a very nice example of a hard to find buckle. This pattern of buckle would have been worn on a webbed belt, as part of a tropical officer uniform. This one retains over 95 percent of the original olive green tropical paint finish on the obverse, with some very slight wear that exposes the aluminum base metal in some small areas, likely just from handling over time- there is no sign that this buckle was ever actually worn. It’s a quality piece, with great detail to the wreath of oak leaves that surrounds the German Army eagle and swastika emblem. On the reverse, this DAK Heer Officers Buckle retains virtually all of the original factory applied paint. There is no manufacturer marking. These tropical Army officers buckles are very desirable. This one is in outstanding, near mint condition. $225.

This buckle is identified in Nash’s book, German Belt Buckles 1845-1945, page 41. Nash states that little is known about this buckle but may be connected with use by some SA members in 1922-1923. It may be an Assmann design as a prototype for the SA that was not taken up for production. In Angola’s book, Belt Buckles and Brocades of the Third Reich, he states this could have been worn by members of the Freikorps Sudetenland, but no exact information is available. He defined it as brass with a silver wash face plate.
It has also been thought that it was used by members of the Austrian NSDAP. If anyone has further insight on this buckle, please share it with the buckle collecting community. NOT FOR SALE - FOR INFO ONLY.
